SHOFU VINTAGE HALO OPAL

A well accepted metal-bonded porcelain system created to overcome the limitations of the traditional shade system by incorporating the reddish shades observed in natural tooth, based on the natural tooth colour space.

Description

High-fusing porcelain for all common porcelain-bonding alloys with a CTE range from 13.5 to 14.6 x 10⁻⁶K⁻¹ (25 to 500 °C). The ceramic system with a natural dispersion and reflexion of light (Halo effect) has been developed over several years in cooperation with Makoto Yamamoto. Computer-controlled shade measurements of several thousand natural teeth have led to a new definition of the dental shade spectrum and its expansion to altogether 38 shades.

The 16  shades have been expanded:
• Root shades: chroma intensive for the A, B, C shade group;
• Red Shift shades: reddish, the so-called 5th shade group;
• Value Plus shades: with an increased brightness value.
