Frequently Asked Questions

What are AGKEM Star Zirconia SHT Preshaded Blanks?
AGKEM Star Zirconia SHT Preshaded Blanks are pre-colored dental zirconia materials designed for CAD/CAM milling applications. They are manufactured by mixing zirconia powder with colored powders before pressing and pre-sintering to achieve consistent shades and reduce uneven coloration.
What are the key features of Star Zirconia SHT Preshaded Blanks?
The key features include bending strength greater than 900 MPa, sintered density of 6.05 ± 0.05 g/cm³, pre-established shades, and a recommended sintering temperature of 1530°C. The manufacturing process is designed to minimize visible spots and noticeable color differences.
What dental restorations can be made using Star Zirconia SHT Preshaded Blanks & what shades are available?
Star Zirconia SHT Preshaded Blanks are indicated for veneers, anterior crowns, and dental copings. They are intended for aesthetic dental restorations where shade consistency and material strength are important.
The available shades include:
SHTA1, SHTA2, SHTA3, SHTB1, SHTB2, SHTC2, and SHTD2.
These preshaded options allow dental technicians to select materials according to different restoration shade requirements.
How do Star Zirconia SHT Preshaded Blanks help achieve consistent shades?
The blanks are manufactured by incorporating colored powders into zirconia powder before pressing and pre-sintering. This approach is designed to reduce uneven coloration, visible spots, and noticeable shade differences between the front and back surfaces.
Who & why should consider purchasing Star Zirconia SHT Preshaded Blanks?
These blanks are suitable for dental labs, CAD/CAM milling centers, dental technicians, and dental prosthesis manufacturers producing veneers, anterior crowns, and copings. They are particularly useful for labs seeking pre-established shades and consistent coloration in zirconia restorations.
AGKEM Star Zirconia SHT Preshaded Blanks combine greater than 900 MPa bending strength, 6.05 ± 0.05 g/cm³ sintered density, seven available shades, and a recommended 1530°C sintering temperature. Their preshaded manufacturing process helps minimize color inconsistencies and supports efficient CAD/CAM restoration workflows.
