Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Area Sales Manager to lead our Dental Division in the assigned territory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing channel partners, and building strong relationships with dental professionals and institutions.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Sales & Revenue Growth
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for dental products (equipment, consumables, materials).
Drive business expansion by identifying new market opportunities within the assigned territory.
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to increase market share.
2. Territory Management
Manage and develop the assigned geographical area (dealers, distributors, clinics, hospitals, institutions).
Ensure effective coverage of all key accounts and potential clients.
Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.
3. Channel & Dealer Management
Appoint, train, and manage dealers/distributors in the region.
Maintain strong relationships with channel partners to ensure consistent business flow.
Monitor dealer performance and ensure target achievement.
4. Key Account Management
Build and maintain relationships with key customers including dentists, dental clinics, hospitals, and institutions.
Conduct regular client visits, product demonstrations, and presentations.
Handle negotiations, closures, and long-term contracts.
5. Product Promotion & Branding
Organize and participate in dental conferences, exhibitions, and trade shows.
Conduct product training sessions and workshops for clients and channel partners.
Ensure proper visibility and branding of company products in the market.
6. Team Management
Lead, train, and motivate a team of Sales Executives/Representatives.
Set individual targets and track performance.
Conduct regular review meetings and provide guidance for improvement.
7. Reporting & MIS
Maintain accurate sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline data.
Submit daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports to management.
Use CRM tools for tracking leads, conversions, and customer interactions.
8. Collections & Payments
Ensure timely collection of payments from clients and distributors.
Monitor outstanding dues and maintain healthy receivables.
9. Customer Support & Service Coordination
Coordinate with service/technical teams for installation and after-sales support.
Resolve customer complaints efficiently to ensure high satisfaction.
10. Compliance & Market Intelligence
Ensure adherence to company policies and pricing guidelines.
Gather market feedback on products, competitors, and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
Team Management
Lead and manage a team of more than 50 technical professionals across India.
Train and mentor, the team responsible for installing dental equipment.
Ensure continuous development and skill enhancement of the team members.
Training and Development –
Develop comprehensive product tutorials and training videos for clinical and radiological dental equipment installation.
Conduct training sessions for the technical team to ensure high standards of installation and customer service.
Technical Support –
Provide technical support to both the clinical and radiological teams.
Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues encountered during equipment installation or operation.
Field Work
Visit customer sites to oversee and assist with equipment installation and troubleshooting whenever required in an exceptional scenario.
Ensure on-site issues are resolved promptly and effectively.
Repair Center Supervision
Supervise the office repair centre to ensure the repairs are conducted efficiently and effectively.
Implement best practices and continuous improvement processes in repair operations.
Technical Expertise –
Develop a deep understanding of all the dental medical equipment’s with their technical specifications and functionality.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in dental technology to maintain industry – leading knowledge.
Experience Required –
Mini 2 years in medical equipment field, preferably with a background in dental medical equipment.
Team Management –
Proven experience of managing a PAN India level team of Service Engineers.
Technical Skills –
Strong understanding of dental medical equipment and excellent troubleshooting skills.
Communication –
Excellent communication and drafting skills.
